Kalia struggles mentally and tends to overthink nearly every decision she makes, especially when it comes to her health and the people around her. She knows exactly what her powers are capable of and knows that the radiation constantly coming from her body can kill any normal person. Because of this, she's become extremely careful about physical contact and keeps her distance from others. She hasn't allowed herself to have physical contact with anyone in years, even though a part of her desperately misses it. She hardly even lets herself around others.



She worries about what her powers are doing to her body and how much longer she can keep pushing herself before the damage becomes permanent. She already knows that some of the damage cannot be undone, but she refuses to fully acknowledge it. Rather than talk about it, she tends to ignore it and act like everything is fine...in reality she's dying.



Kalia usually keeps her problems to herself. She hates being vulnerable and absolutely despises the idea of someone feeling sorry for her. If she's struggling, she'd rather disappear for a while than let anyone notice. She has a habit of shutting people out before they can get close enough to worry about her.



Kalia is a very distant and cold person. She isn't particularly friendly and can come across as a complete bitch most of the time. She's blunt, sarcastic, and has a sharp mouth, especially when she's annoyed. She doesn't go out of her way to make people like her and usually doesn't care whether they do or not.



Though, there are a small handful of people she genuinely warms up to. With them she's softer and more willing to let her guard down. She can be surprisingly caring and protective when she actually considers someone important to her. She just doesn't make it easy to get to that side of her.



Kalia also struggles to keep relationships with people. She tends to keep others at a distance, making it difficult for her to form any real connections. She hasn't ever been in an official romantic relationship, though she has been with a few people here and there. Even that's rare, since she can only safely get close to people who are immune to her abilities, and there aren't many of them. Commitment is a foreign concept to her, and love is even more terrifying. As soon as she feels herself getting close to someone, she pushes them away...
